Members from the partner universities of Armenia, Israel, UK, Czech Republic, Italy and Austria met for discussing the educational curricula of Medical Genetics programs in four universities as well as sharing the current achievements, including the accreditation of new education programs, procurement of equipment and development of learning materials required for implementation of the programs. During the meeting the core ideas related to the learning process were discussed including theoretical and practical parts, as well as issues on e-learning, implementation of simulation studies and possibilities for students to participate in real consultations with further discussions of cases.

Finally, there was discussion on development of joint mechanism for quality assessment, dissemination and sustainability plans of education programs. The consortium agreed on use of Graz model as a prototype for those actions which will be implemented after the workshop with members of the participant universities.

The ESHG2016 Conference was the best place for the dissemination of project preliminary results and information on this special European project dedicated for genetic education in two countries. During the whole meeting the project information was actively disseminated through specially developed information booklets during different networking events, satellite meetings and meetings with conference participants during special meetings for the MedGen Poster reviews.

MedGen consortia members also had great opportunity 1to participate in different symposiums, thematic sections and education sessions which allowed to reevaluate scientific knowledge and put it as new source of information in development of further teaching materials and process.
