Developing Medical Genetics Education Through Curriculum Reforms And Establishment of Postgraduate Training Programs EACEA

During 30 June – 2 July, 2015, a special training course on hereditary skin disorders was organized by the University Paris Descartes held at the Yerevan State Medical University, Armenia, for the specialists of the two Yerevan State Medical University and Russian-Armenian University.

The training course was prepared and managed by Prof. Alain Hovnanian from the abovementioed partner European University of the MedGen Project and consisrrted of theoretical and practical parts, covering the topics of:

- Genetics of skin disorders
- Hereditary skin disorders
- Current treatment approaches of rare skin disorders 

The practical course included the shadow training of specialists – clinical geneticists, genetic counsellers and dermatologists through workshops on imitation cases, clinics of real cases with examination, plaussible diagnosis and discussions.
