Developing Medical Genetics Education Through Curriculum Reforms And Establishment of Postgraduate Training Programs EACEA

During 15-23 October, 2017, a practical training program was organized and held at the Raphael Recanati Genetics Institute Rabin Medical Center and Schneider Children's Medical Center, Tel Aviv University, Israel, for the specialists of Yerevan State Medical University in clinical genetics and clinical laboratory genetics.

This practical training covered several topics of clinical laboratory genetics which were organized by the director of the Raphael Recanati Genetics Institute, Prof. Lina Bazel and were managed by Dr. Nurit Magal.

The training included the following topics: 
- NGS in practice
- MLPA analysis
- Preimplantation genetic diagnosis for molecular and cytogenetic disorders
- Bioinformatics analysis in clinic
- Clinic of hereditary cancer
- Clinic of autoinflammatory and renal disorders
- Clinic of hereditary cardiac diseases
- Clinic of rare pediatric diseases
- Clinic of prenatal diagnostics
