During 25-29 September, 2017 the staff members of the Department of Medical Genetics of Yerevan State Medical University n.a. Mkhitar Heratsi and Russian-Armenian University participated at the course for Clinical Laboratory Genetics in Education organized by the European Society of Human Genetics at the Athens, Greece.

The course was co-organized by the University of Jena, Germany and Hellenic Association of Medical Genetics. The purpose of the course was the update of the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in Clinical Genetics and laboratory diagnostics and in education.

The five-day course covered all topics of clinical genetic diagnostics with daily written test:

- Basics of Human Genetics and Genetics Counselling
- Genetic Syndromes, Teratology and Cytogenetics
- Molecular Cytogenetics 
- Molecular Genetics
- Genomics and Proteomics
